Welcome to the Website of the Alfred & Lyman Little League.
We are a part of Maine's District 4 Little League, serving the towns of Alfred and Lyman. In 2009 we have 17 teams (5 Tball, 4 minor B baseball, 2 minor B softball, 4 minor A baseball, 2 minor A softball, 2 major league baseball) .
Important Updates/Notes:
11-12 TEAM BEATS OOB 14-9, Next Game Thursday July 9th at Bernier Field, 5:30pm, against Kennebunk. Follow the tournament bracket at http://www.eteamz.com/me-ll-dist4-ump/schedules/
9-10 tournament team first game is Saturday July 11th in Sanford across from the Sanford Mainers (Goodall) Field, 7:30pm, opponent TBA (winner of Saco Maroon & York Blue to be played 7/7).
Board meetings are typically held on the 3rd Sunday of every month, 6 pm at the Goodwin Mills Fire Department Conference Room. These meetings are open to the public. If you are interested in attending it is recommended to call the number at the bottom of this page as meetings are often moved to accomodate the busy parents who make up our board.

Opening Day - May 2nd, see times below. Ceremonies willbe held at the Alfred Park. To alleviate parking concerns the league will divide opening ceremonies into two parts:
Tball
Saturday May 2, 2009 at 10am

Please arrive no less than 20 minutes before these times so the players can unite with their teams and be ready to begin proceeding promptly as scheduled.

The annual O'Brien Round Robin Tournament (for the Major League Baseball division) will begin at 11:30.
Pictures - Saturday May 2, 2009 (at Alfred Field)
Picture Schedule TBD. Coorelating with the opening day schedule, TBall and Coach Pitch division will be the first division scheduled for pictures.
Closing Ceremonies - Friday June 19, 2009 (at Massabesic High School)
Age Eligibility Notes
Tball - Open to players league age 5 -8. To meet the minimum age requirement the child must turn 5 before May 1, 2009.
Minor League Baseball - Open to players league age 7-11. To meet the minimum age requirements the child must turn 7 before May 1, 2009.
Minor League Softball - Open to players league age 7-11. To meet the minimum age requirements the child must turn 7 before December 31, 2008.
Major League Baseball - Open to players league age 9-12. To meet the minimum age requirements the child must turn 9 before May 1, 2009.
Major League Softball - Open to players league age 9-12. To meet the minimum age requirements the child must turn 9 before December 31, 2008.
Junior League Baseball / Softball - available upon demand for children league age 13-14.
